Clothes Swap Event 2024

This year LRDT is celebrating it's 25 year anniversary! To commemorate our charity's 'silver anniversary', we'll be holding various events and activities throughout the year. And to kick things off, we are holding a huge clothes swap event on Friday 8th March 2024. 

​

For anyone unfamiliar with clothes swaps, the general premise is that everyone brings some good quality clothes shoes and/or accessories that are in good condition that they no longer want, to contribute to the swap. They can then browse the other items and take as many as a they came with. It's a fun way to clear out items that are no longer bringing you joy, find them a good home and hopefully walk away with something that brings a smile to your face.

We'll be publishing more details soon, but in the mean time we are looking for help to prepare for the event.

DONATIONS

We are looking for donations of good quality womenswear, menswear and childrenswear so we can a good base of 'stock' as soon as our first attendees arrive. If you are having a clear out of your families clothes, shoes and accessories and simply want to donate them without wanting 'swaps' in return, then we would be very grateful to accept them. And we can do local collection from Lyme Regis and nearby surrounding area. Please use the DONATE ITEMS button below to send us your details and we'll get in touch to arrange your collection.

VOLUNTEER

If helping run this event sounds like it might be fun and you want to get involved in a community project, then we'd love to have you. We're looking for helpers as we prepare for the Clothes Swap. It could be collecting donations or helping to sort what we've collected or it could be being part of the team on the day itself.
